Farewell to winter

All of our East Coast friends have had the worst winter this year.  Snow. Snow. More Snow.  Out West, however, it has been really mild.  Not a lot of shoveling.  Not a lot of cursing the heavens as they pour down with slushy, mucky, weather.  Nope.  It's been mild.  That isn't so great for our water supply though.  Skiers and winter sports lovers still have a good season though.  Before we welcome Spring with open arms, I want to post a few pics of the house and the neighborhood from a snowy morning back in December.   Here they are!

This is the view looking North from the road in front of our house.  Gorgeous!

A little cheery color during winter isn't so bad!
View from our front porch (looking East)
View from our back porch looking West.  I like to image that our dilapidated garage is really a beautiful two story victorian carriage house!  The renovation budget didn't include replacing the shabby looking thing though, so for now it's an eye sore!

This is the sidewalk in front of our house.  Looking North.  The Baptist church is one of our next door neighbors.  They're a great congregation and it's a beautiful, historic building.
