It felt a little like Christmas when I saw the big UPS trailer driving down the road! Our new floors came on Wednesday, and I couldn't be happier. :) We bought American Black Walnut Walnut from www.elmwoodreclaimedtimber.com. Our flooring is an Reclaimed Old Growth sourced from urban forestry. It is random width and random length. I am very excited to install it and see the finished product. On a side note, Elmwood was great to work with. Shipping was fast, and they were very helpful as I was doing research to decide what to buy (and the floors were a steal, one of the cheapest we considered).

If there would be one thing that would make unloading 2000 lbs of hardwood flooring any more difficult, it would be working around a freshly poured front sidewalk. But hey, that's just how we do things sometimes!
